Domestic stock markets started Monday’s session at record highs as Joe Biden’s win in the US presidential election.
The BSE Sensex index jumped 704.37 points – or 1.68% – to touch an all-time high of 42,5697.43, and the NSE Nifty 50 benchmark climbed to a record 12,461.05, adding 197.50 points – or 1.61% – to its previous close. Broad-based gains. Most Sectors – led by banking, financial services, IT and pharmaceutical shares – pushed the markets higher.
